Power sweeping is a new form of sweeping where a rotary head is attached to a drill like rod. The sweeping head rotates at speed and has thick nylon strands as opposed to bristles you find on a traditional brush.

Power sweeping isn’t suitable for some old chimney flues and can actually cause some damage. However, it is the preferred method for terracotta-lined chimneys with hard deposits, removing bird nests or accessing areas that are too small for a traditional brush. It is also the most effective method following cre-away treatment.

Our expertise will determine whether to use traditional or power sweeping after our initial inspection.
